Access and Requirements

Access requirements for a Litta collection - flats without a lift, parking, communal areas, and furniture that needs dismantling.

What access do you need to collect my items?

A clear, safe route from the waste to the collection vehicle - free of locked gates, blocked stairwells, or hazards. Items also need to be liftable by our two-person team.

Let us know at booking about anything that makes access more complex - items upstairs, in a garden, behind a locked area, or unusually large or heavy - so the team can plan for it and your quote reflects the actual job. Undisclosed complex access can mean extra time charges on the day, or in some cases a wasted journey.

Can you collect from flats or apartments without a lift?

Yes - but if there's no lift, the team needs extra time to carry items up or down between the flat and the vehicle. That additional time is charged in the same way as any other complex-access job. Let us know your floor number at booking so this can be reflected in your quote.

What if there's no parking near my property?

The further the parking spot is from your items, the more time it takes the team to move waste between the property and the vehicle - and that extra time is charged the same way as other complex-access loading time. Let us know at booking if parking is likely to be some distance away, so it can be factored into your quote.

Can you collect from communal bin areas or shared property?

Yes, as long as you have access and the building management or local authority allows third-party waste collection from that area. Arranging this access is your responsibility. If our team arrives and the waste isn't accessible, this is treated as a wasted journey and the standard charge applies.

Can you dismantle furniture that won't fit through a door or stairwell?

Yes - but disassembly needs to be booked in advance. If an item can't fit through a door or down a stairwell as it is, this needs to be disclosed before booking so the team can plan for it. Undisclosed items like this can lead to damage, delays, or a wasted journey.
